History in the Making

Once an upstart 2 person PCB design company whose claim to fame was "design for manufacturability" of printed circuit boards, Mass Design now has over 50 employees in a 72,000 square foot facilities handling all phases of circuit board design, fabrication, assembly and production.

The Timeline

• 1986 - Tony Bourassa and Paul Boduch starts Mass Design to design PCB boards.

• 1986 - Due to Customer demand, Mass Design begins selling (brokering) boards.

• 1989 - Mass Design merges with M-Tek (a fabricator of raw boards).

• 1995 - Mass Designs adds assembling services.

• 1998 - Tony & Paul purchases remaining ownership from 2 original board owners who retire.

• 1998 - Mass Design achieves ISO9001:2008 certification.

• 2000 - Major upgrade to board shop allowing Mass Design to begin offering high tech PCB boards.

• 2001 - Mass Design purchases it's first MyData pick & place machine for SMT auto placement.

• 2004 - Mass Design purchases 72,000 square foot former PCB Plant (Samina).
